Because if I've already beat my head against customs, reservations, and cool places to go then maybe you won't have to?

Meet this Salty Broad...

Who the hell am I?

I am a mid-fifties Salty Old Broad who loves to travel...  If I won the Powerball my goal would be to live out of a suitcase and just wander the earth, sending souvenirs back home and amassing pictures and stories.   I love the rush of getting off of a plane or train and setting off to discover.

This makes me *insufferable* in conversation because my thirst for random bits of trivia, while nourishing for my spirit, will usually bore an innocent bystander to death....all because they asked some harmless question like "have you been to [insert place here]?"....and I'm off to the races about what I loved while I was there or want I want to see when I go.

Engaging me in a conversation about travel or history...it's not a victimless crime.  I *will* rupture your eardrums with my enthusiasm for the discussion.   Writing it down in a travel blog is my way of divesting myself of the thoughts in my head while sparing the innocent.  I'm a Salty Old Broad...not a complete hyena.

My Mission

To get discovered by some travel channel that will pay for me to travel and just write about what I do and where I go.   The likelihood of this is probably nil...but the question was asked and that is the actual true answer. So there.

Why on earth make a website?

I started this egocentric littlel blog so that I can document my adventures and the wins/losses along the way.  Why I went, what I loved, what I hated, and little things along the way that I found absurd, funny, or helpful.

It's a small undertaking, I have a full time job and actually have to save money for the trips I go on (woe is me!) ...but it's mine to have fun with and here you will read about the itineraries I made, the people and places I saw and the little ins/outs that I learned and stored away for future reference.  Maybe one day I'll see you out there!
